Econet Wireless Funeral Plan for Zimbabweans
Our Econet Wireless Funeral Plan service will return the body to any specified address or a funeral parlour of your choice in either Zimbabwe or Lesotho, relieving your loved ones of at least one source of stress and worry if tragedy should ever strike.
There are two policy options available to our valued clients:
CarryMeHome
Our basic policy, available for just R20 monthly, offers:
- Repatriation of the insured’s mortal remains to a prearranged address in Lesotho or Zimbabwe
- Provision for up to 2 mourners to return home for the funeral
CarryMeHome Plus
The CarryMeHome Plus policy costs only R40 each month and offers:
- Repatriation of the insured’s mortal remains to a prearranged address in Lesotho or Zimbabwe
- Provision for up to 2 mourners to return home for the funeral.
- A one-time R10 000 cash payout to any nominated beneficiary residing within the borders of South Africa
CarryMeHome and CarryMeHome Plus are available to all existing Econet Call Home customer; when the following conditions are met before a policy will is offered:
- The Applicant must reside in South Africa
- Applicant must be between the ages of 18 and 65 years
- Applicant must possess a legal South African, Lesotho or Zimbabwean identity document. You need a South African identity document as well as a Zimbabwean or Lesotho identification for CarryMeHome Plus. Applicants for CarryMeHome Plus must also nominate a beneficiary. The beneficiary must be at least 18 and as well bank account in South Africa
Please be aware that a six-month waiting period applies before the policy will pay for natural death, therefore, it is advisable to begin your policy as soon as possible to ensure that you will be covered if you should pass away.
