- The cover can include main member, spouse, and up to 5 children
- Waiting periods before the policy will pay out apply as follows:
- 6 months for natural death
- Immediate cover for accidental death
- Instant cover of R5000 for accidental death until policy starts
- Premiums increase by 10% annually and benefit increase by 6% annually
- Family income benefit for 6 months after main member’s death
- Memorial benefit (paid out 5 or 11 months after the death of the main member)
- Double-pay out for accidental death
- Receive a guaranteed cash back every 4 years even if you have claimed during that time
- Premium waiver for a family to receive continued cover without paying any premiums after the death of the main member

Access to On-Call Plus also includes a pay-out on the death of an insured person to be spent on groceries, electricity, transport or airtime.
Also, benefits are provided for life and will not cease at a certain age.
Excellence Family Funeral Plan – Assupol Life Funeral Insurance
This funeral plan offers the following features:
- Minimum premium of R70 per month
- Maximum cover of R75000 for main member and spouse, R60000 for other dependants.
- Children covered for their whole life (not only until 21)
- Cover for still-born children and new-born children in their first 3 months
- Ability to increase cover annually
- Instant cover of R5000 for accidental death until policy starts
The following optional extras can be included for an additional premium:
- Family income benefit for 6 months after main member’s death
